<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel barrier capable of forming a pixel without color mixing, void or the like positionally precisely; to provide a color filter having the pixel barrier; and to provide a liquid crystal display device comprising the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The pixel barrier for separating a plurality of colored pixels formed by applying droplets of a colored liquid composition onto a substrate contains metal fine particles, has the upper surface with an ink-repellent property and has a height from the substrate of 1.0 μm or more.
