<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dictionary retrieving device for reducing a user operation, and having improved convenience. <P>SOLUTION: In preview-displaying the meaning of a selected word, when the selected word is overlapped on a preview picture, a control part 11 automatically scrolls the picture, and prevents it from being overlapped on the preview picture.
