<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device obtaining lifetime extension of a bearing by enhancing sealing performance and durability of a seal. <P>SOLUTION: The seal 8 comprises a fitting part 11a fit in an end of an outer member 1, a core bar 11 formed while bending from the fitting part 11a and having an inner diameter part 11b extending inward in a radial direction, and a seal member 12 integrally joined to the core bar 11 and having a pair of side lips 12a, 12b respectively formed with different lengths and slanted outward in the radial direction. A proximal end 17 of a wheel attachment flange 4 is formed in a curved face with an arcuate cross section, and the side lips 12a, 12b are slidably attached to the proximal end 17 via a shrink range. Since a knurling 13 is arranged between the pair of side lips 12a, 12b in a flat part of the inner diameter part 11b of the core bar 11, infiltration of rainwater and muddy water or the like into the knurling 13 is prevented by the side lip 12a, and rusting of the core bar 11 can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
