PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device which increases contact points in a case member and a reference potential pattern by forming a recess in the reference potential pattern formed in a circuit substrate. SOLUTION: A portable phone 1 includes a circuit substrate 70 in which a reference potential pattern layer 75 is formed and a case 60 having conductivity laminatedly arranged in the reference potential pattern layer 75 side in the circuit substrate 70. In the reference potential pattern layer 75, a groove portion 75b dented toward the thickness direction in the circuit substrate 70 is formed, the case 60 is made to contact the region including the groove portion 75b in the reference potential pattern layer 75.
