PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable or cord winder which is simple and easily assembled. SOLUTION: The retractor for a cable of a headphone or the like has a bobbin (32) rotating around a body (11) together with a cable or a cord (2) which is inserted in a side of the bobbin and wound or unwound within the bobbin on the body. Accidental unwinding of the cable is prevented by an indexing mechanism. The bobbin can be assembled into the body without using any tool. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
