PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skeleton structure for a vehicular seat having a back plate retreating technology with a novel constitution utilizing an inertia force generated by a rear-end collision impact. SOLUTION: The skeleton structure 10 for the vehicular seat is provided with a seat frame 1 becoming a skeleton of a seat cushion; and a back frame 2 becoming a skeleton of a seat back, and the back frame 2 is provided with an outer frame body 2a for forming contour as a whole; and a back plate 2b supported so that it can be moved to the outer frame body in a longitudinal direction. The back plate 2b is supported to the outer frame body 2a by a back plate front position lock means 8, and the back plate front position lock means 8 locks and supports the back plate 2a to the outer frame body 2a so as to receive a back load of a sitting person at a usual time and retain the back plate 2a to the front position.
