The inventive device comprises an elastic balloon and a body with air supply orifices, the balloon being sealingly secured above one of the body orifices. A flexible longitudinal plate is fixed at the lower base of the balloon and the free edge thereof can be matched with a mark applied on the balloon surface. The material and the wall thickness of the elastic polymer balloon is selected in such a way that they can provide the pressure invariability (maintain a normal stable pressure) in the airway cuff when a volume in the system formed by the airway cuff and the inventive device is modified. The invention makes it possible to obtain the pressure invariability (maintain a normal stable pressure) in the airway cuff when a volume in the system formed by the airway cuff and the inventive device is modified. Said device is low-cost, easily mountable and, therefore, can be used in all the cases when the airways with an inflatable cuff are used. The device does not disturb the blood supply to the mucosal tunic, thereby preventing from pressure sores which are originators of necrosis. The above-listed properties form the advantages of the inventive device over the similar devices known from the prior art.
