<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a load from applying on a balloon in a regular state where the balloon is not inflated, and to reduce a load applied to a balloon fixing portion due to longitudinal stretch generated by the inflation of the balloon and a load applied to a tube body between the distal end and the balloon fixing portion at the rear end when the balloon is inflated. <P>SOLUTION: This balloon catheter is so formed that a tube body having one or more lumens and the elastic balloon provided around the outer circumference of the distal end of the tube body are communicated with each other in at least one of the lumens, a hard hollow tube or an annular body being slidable by a predetermined distance in the longitudinal direction of the tube body is externally formed over the tube body, and the rear end of the balloon is attached to the hollow tube or the annular body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
