<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch to a communication mode depending on a wireless LAN in a portable terminal including the communication mode depending on the wireless LAN and a communication mode depending on other communication scheme such as 1xEV-DO. <P>SOLUTION: When it is detected that a mobile phone 4 enters a hot spot 2 of a wireless LAN, the mobile phone 4 automatically switches a communication mode from 1xEV-DO to wireless LAN. Location information at that time is acquired by a GPS 7 and uploaded to a server 5 via a base station 2 or 3 by the wireless LAN or 1xEV-DO. The server 5 updates hot spot information in the past. When it is detected that the mobile phone 4 leaves the hot spot 2, the mobile phone automatically switches the communication mode from the wireless LAN to 1xEV-DO, uploads the location information acquired by the GPS 7 to the server 5 by 1xEV-DO and updates the hot spot information in a memory 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
