NEMATIC LIQUID CRYSTALLINE ORGANIC SEMICONDUCTOR MATERIAL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organic semiconductor material exhibiting aromatic low molecular weight nematic liquid crystallinity together with high mobility and flowability owing to molecular orientation. SOLUTION: An aromatic low molecular weight nematic liquid crystal is purified and its purity is guaranteed by comparison of the mobility of the sample purified by the time-of-flight method with that of a sample diluted with a solvent thereby to realize properties as an organic semiconductor. An aromatic low-molecular weight nematic liquid crystal substance having mobility not smaller than 10-4cm2/Vs and larger than that of the diluted sample is useful as an organic semiconductor.
