A duplex pipe fitting has a fitting main body (1), and a pair of coupling members (2) screwed to the ends of the fitting main body (1). When the coupling members (2) are screwed to the fitting main body (1), two pipes (P) are connected with each other through the fitting main body (1). Each coupling member (2) has a grasping portion (24) equipped with a grasping surface consisting of one or a plurality of pairs of planes facing each other so that it can be grasped by a general purpose fastening tool. When a rotary torque for fastening the coupling members (2) to the fitting main body (1) reaches a value indicating the end of fastening, at least a part of the grasping portion (24) including the grasping surface is divided and fastening of the coupling members (2) is ended, thereby completing connection of pipes.
