<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light-emitting diode of high luminance in which the taking-out efficiency of a light wavelength-converted by a fluorescent substance such as fluorescent material, fluorescent glass, or the like is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting diode is constituted such that an electrode arranged on the bottom face of an LED chip 14 is electrically connected to a first lead frame 12 by die-bonding the LED chip 14 to the surface of the front-end part 12a of the first lead frame 12 for loading the LED chip; the other electrode arranged on the upper face of the LED chip 14 and the front-end part 16a of the second lead frame 16 are electrically connected via a bonding wire 18; and furthermore, a plurality of first filamentary members 22, on each surface of which a fluorescent substance 20 is arranged via an adhesive 24, are stuck on the surface of the LED chip 14 in an upward form for each. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
