Method of processing mainly liquid refuse containing aqueous effluent and organic matter

The process for treating wastes such as liquid containing aqueous effluents and organic matters, comprises adsorbing and/or absorbing the liquids on dried ligneous material, evaporating a part of water contained in the adsorbed and/or absorbed waste at a temperature of 20-100[deg] C and a pressure of 10 2>to 10 5>Pa, and compacting and then burning the ligneous material. The ligneous material used as adsorbents and/or absorbents is constituted of sawdust, and extruded to form granules. Insoluble organic materials present in the wastes are removed before processing.
