PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AM (amplitude-modulated)-signal detection circuit, from which an output accurately corresponding to the peak-value envelope can be obtained.
SOLUTION: The detection circuit, which receives an AM-signal Vi having two states of a large-amplitude state and a small-amplitude state and discriminates the two states, is provided with a timing-extraction section for extracting the carrier frequency component from the output signal Vo of an AGC circuit and outputting a clock pulse CL, whose timing coincides with the peak position of the amplitude of the signal Vo, a clock generating section for outputting a sampling clock pulse SCL whose timing coincides with the peak position of the clock pulse CL, a reference voltage setting section for outputting a comparison reference voltage VR2, and a sampling comparison/holding section for executing sampling comparison between the signal Vo and the reference voltage VR2, when the clock pulse SCL is inputted and for outputting and holding the comparison-result signal TCO.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
