<p>The device has a brewing cylinder (6) and pistons (3, 4) movably held in a frame (2) relative to each other. A coffee powder feeding device is provided for filling a brewing chamber (12) with coffee powder. A stripping unit leads away a coffee-powder cake into a collection container, where the cake is produced from the brewing chamber through the piston (4) after the brewing process.
