PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an image forming device capable of determining passage of the rear end of recording paper through a recording paper detection sensor without chattering effect even if the recording paper is sequentially conveyed at a close interval. SOLUTION: The control section of the image forming device has a function of performing a recording paper rear end passage determining process determining whether or not a recording paper detection signal is output by the predetermined number of times when it is determined that the recording paper detection signal is not output at determining timing after determined that the recording paper detection signal is output at determining timing during conveying the recording paper. In the recording paper rear end passage determining process, when successively determined that the recording paper detection signal is not output by the predetermined number of times, it is determined that the rear end of the recording paper passes through the recording paper detection sensor.
