PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide services by using registration to a contact list and transmission/reception of multimedia data such as image data as a series of processes. SOLUTION: A communication terminal which displays a status of a user on a display part includes: a communication part which communicates with a communication controller which transmits status information to other communication terminal when reception of the status information is requested from the other communication terminal and the user approves a request; a request receiving part which receives registration request information indicating that the other communication terminal requests reception of the status information; a permission transmitting part which transmits registration permission information indicating that reception of the status information by the other communication terminal is permitted; a registration detection part which detects registration setting information indicating that the status information becomes to be received by the other communication terminal; and a data transmitting part which transmits the multimedia data so as to be displayed on a display part of the other communication terminal with the status after detecting the registration setting information.
