PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device which enables a slat constituting a shutter curtain to be turned to an opened attitude. SOLUTION: This shutter device comprises: the windable shutter curtain 1 in which the plurality of slats 6 are juxtaposed along an opening/closing direction; a driving mechanism for winding the shutter curtain 1 around a winding body; an operating body 83 which is engaged with at least some of the moving slats 6 so as to turn the slats 6 to the opening attitude, when the shutter curtain 1 is moved in a closing direction (direction H2), and which makes an opening 6e formed between the slats 6 adjacent to each other; and an operating-body switching mechanism for making the operating body 83 switch between an engaging position A in which the operating body 83 is engaged with some of the slats 6, and a receding position in which the operating body 83 recedes so as not to be engaged with the slats 6.
