Method utilises a device having a chamber with an orifice to admit the liquid to be displaced connected to an ascending tube having an entry for gas which passes continuously through a flow control vavle and displaces the liquid, the tube diameter being less than that of the entering gas bubbles. The tube is pref formed from a material not wetted by the liquid to be displaced, such as polytetrafluoroethylene. The device employs the energy of compression of the gases used to sweep the electrodes, to displace the electrolyte. |
