PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker with an automatic release link mechanism capable of preventing damage and deformation of elements by automatic release in a link section before electron-repelling force generated inside of the circuit breaker by a large short-circuit current causes the damage and deformation of an opening/closing link section. SOLUTION: This circuit breaker with an automatic release link mechanism includes a coupling link 140 for transmitting repelling force 88 from an electrifying section to a trip roller 55 as operating force 77, an open lever 190, a second link 160 turning around a latch pin 150a, a third link 170, to which the trip roller 55 is turnably fixed and which moves relative to the second link 160 so as to be engaged with the peripheral surface of the open lever 190, and a spring 180 provided between the second link 160 and the third link 170 so that elastic force Fs works between them. In the case wherein a component force 77p of the operating force 77 is larger than the elastic force Fs by more than a preset value, engagement of the side surface of the third link 170 with the open lever 190 is automatically released.
