Presser foot has at least one presser roller mounted to idle on an axis transverse to the sewing line. The roller has a peripheral surface, which contacts the time, and at least one profiled peripheral throat which guides a toothed rack of a slide closure and which orients the teeth in a particular position when they pass through the zone of the reciprocating needle. Behind the throat, the foot has a passage in which the teeth of the slide closure circulate.
