PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mastication evaluation method capable of simply measuring a state that difference appears in the leaching degree of a component by a degree of mastication if testing food containing the component for judging mastication is used as an element, which is indispensable in the judgment of mastication in a broad sense lack in a conventional mastication evaluation method, without using a special expensive device, and a mastication judging kit. SOLUTION: The mastication judging kit comprises the testing food containing ascorbic acid and/or an ascorbic acid derivative and/or ethanol as a detecting component and the indicator reacted with the detecting component.
