PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socks stopper which is excellent in safety performance and yet is prevented from causing damage to socks when removing the stopper. SOLUTION: The socks stopper 1 is made of vulcanized fiber and formed nearly in a U-shape having an opening section 3 at one of the socks' ends, while being equipped with a pair of elastically deformable engagement strips 4 with the opening section 3 in between them. A sock insertion section 10 is formed on the inside of the engagement strip 4, into which a sock is to be inserted. Curved socks gripping sections 7 facing the opening section 3 are formed at the ends of the individual engagement strips 4. The socks stopper 1 is mounted on the socks in a form in which the lowest end parts of the socks are pushed into the opening section 3, while the lowest end parts of the socks are elastically gripped between the socks gripping sections 7. With the socks stopper 1, no injury is caused to the hands, and furthermore, no damage is caused to socks because the peripheries of the socks gripping sections 7 is shaped in a curved state.
