<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel oil for fuel cells, which can prevent the production of a gaseous by-product, when desulfurized in a fuel cell system, can sufficiently maintain the life of a desulfurizer, and enables the stable continuation in the operation of the fuel cell system for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel oil for the fuel cells is characterized by having distillation properties comprising an initial boiling point of 135 to 170°C and a 95% distillation temperature of ≤270°C, a naphthene benzene compound content of ≤10 vol.%, a total sulfur content of ≤80 mass ppm, and a sulfur content originated from sulfur compounds having mol. wts. of 184 to 218 g/mol in an amount of ≤1 mass ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
