PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a network monitoring device capable of detecting the abnormality of a network based on the statistical analysis of traffic data in a small network such as a network for home or for a small office.

SOLUTION: The network monitoring device for detecting the abnormality of the network based on the traffic of the network, includes: a data collecting part 110 for collecting the traffic data of the network; and a detecting part 160 for detecting the abnormality of the network. The detecting part 160 detects the abnormality of the network based on traffic data which are collected in another network where period tabulation data obtained by tabulating the traffic data for a fixed period is similar to period tabulation data in the network, and also based on the traffic data collected by the data collecting part 110 in the network.
