PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide multi-functional information equipment for preferentially starting a function desired by a user, and for easily setting the order of starting each function and to provide a method for starting the multi-functional information equipment. SOLUTION: This multi-functional information equipment is provided with: a navigation control part 16 having various different functions; a camera control part 17; a TV control part 18; an audio control part 19; a start parameter table 14 storing the start order of a voice recognition part 20; a start order setting part 12 for describing the order of starting each function in the start parameter table 14; and a start order control part 11 for starting each function according to the order described in the start parameter table 14.
