PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner reducing fuel and lighting costs and thermal loads to the atmosphere causing global warming. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit for the air conditioner is characterized in that a heat exchanger coil comprising a heat transfer tube made of copper and meanderingly passing through a plurality of juxtaposed aluminum fins, a tap water inlet for conveying tap water into the heat transfer tube and a tap water outlet is provided on the front face of a suction port.
