PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field emission display enhancing the quality of display by reducing the temperature difference between an anode substrate and a cathode substrate. SOLUTION: The field emission display is equipped with the cathode substrate 2 in which two or more electron sources 12 are formed on a display region surface on the anode substrate 1 side; the anode substrate 1 in which a phosphor material 21 emitting light by irradiation of electrons from each electron source 12 is formed on a display region surface on the cathode substrate 2 side; a spacer 4 arranged between the cathode substrate 2 and the anode substrate 1 in the display region; and a heat insulating material 30 arranged on a surface on the opposite side to the anode substrate 2 of he cathode substrate 1 so as to face a part of the spacer 4.
