PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth drill which is formed in a simple structure and in which a kelly-bar is surely prevented from being excessively raised during the construction. SOLUTION: This earth drill comprises the kelly-bar 17 rotatably and liftably suspended from a wire rope 15 suspended from the end of a boom 12 and a kelly-bar drive 19 supported on an arm 18 installed on a body 11 and rotatingly driving the kelly-bar 17 in the state of being liftably inserted therein. An excavating bucket 20 is detachably mounted at the bottom part of the kelly-bar 17 projecting from the kelly-bar driver 19 downward. An upper stopper member 22 preventing the kelly-bar 17 from rising by coming into contact with the upper part of the excavating bucket 20 before the kelly-bar 17 reaches the upper limit is detachably mounted at the lower part of the kelly-bar driver 19.
