PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize automated detection means with improved accuracy for detecting a paper splice part by solving detection failure of the paper splice part of a base paper of a corrugated board or a misoperation upon detection in a production line of a corrugated board sheet. SOLUTION: In this method for detecting a paper splice part of a corrugator, a starting end of a second corrugated board base paper 50b in a stand-by status is adhered to a terminal end of a first corrugated board base paper 50a being fed to a step for producing a corrugated board paper DC to splice paper, and the paper splice part 20 is detected, so as to selectively eliminate a cut sheet S including the paper splice part on a downstream side of the production step. A detection hole h is bored at or near the paper splice part when the paper is spliced or between a single facer 3 and a bridge part 7, and the detection hole is detected by distance sensors 24-26 provided on an upstream side of a step for cutting the corrugated board sheet DC, on which the detection hole is produced, so as to electively eliminate the cut sheet S including the paper splice part 20 based on the detection information.
