PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid capable of preventing waste from being spattered by wind and from being eaten away by birds and animals, preventing it from being submerged into a waste collecting vessel by the weight of snow, and preventing waste from being damped into the waste collecting vessel by a third person not related to the installation, and easily detachable from the waste collecting vessel. SOLUTION: This lid comprises a rectangular lower frame covering the opening of the waste collecting vessel and a cover member of one of the shape obtained by vertically inverting a food tray placed on the lower frame and having an opening of the same shape as the lower frame, a barrel roof shape, and a gable roof shape. The cover member is formed of a cover plate installed on a beam at the upper center openably with hinges and the other plate without holes for preventing entrance of rainwater and snow.
