PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post for a man conveyor equipped with a super-directional speaker capable of damping harmful sounds and lengthening the range reaching audible sounds by raising sound pressure. SOLUTION: This post 20 for a man conveyor is equipped with a hollow column member 22, the super-directional speaker 36 provided inside the column member 22 for radiating ultrasonic waves and increasing sound pressure of audible sounds that perform self-demodulation, and a filter device 70 provided on a riding platform side of the column member 22 for damping the region of audible ultrasonic waves out of passing ultrasonic waves.
