The invention relates to a weighing device comprising at least a scale and a checkout device connected thereto for processing a plurality of related weighing results of a sales procedure, wherein a memory device is provided which stores the weighing data sets associated with the weighing results, each weighing data set comprising at least the weight of the article weighed during the weighing process and an information characterizing the respective weighed article. Said memory device is accessed by individual software modules which run on the scale and the checkout device, each software module being provided with an identification marker. According to the invention, a control device controls the memory device and the access thereto in such a manner that the weighing data sets of a related sales procedure are stored in the memory device simultaneously with the weighing data sets of other sales procedures and are unambiguously assigned to one sales procedure, respectively, the control device checking the identification marker of the accessing software module. |
