IMAGE PROCESSING CIRCUIT, DISPLAY DEVICE AND PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce difference between a drawing area of an input image and a graphic image included in a hatching pattern as small as possible when applying hatching to the drawing area of the input image.

SOLUTION: A memory H stores hatching pattern data. A CPU (Central Processing Unit) 11 calculates a difference between a target position and a position of a start point of the graphic image, and a shift circuit F outputs a pixel value of a position distant from a position of each pattern bit value of the memory H by the calculated difference. A multiplier MU0 multiplies each the pattern bit value outputted from the shift circuit F and each the pixel value of input image data in each corresponding position. A subtractor SU outputs a value obtained by inverting each the pixel value of the input image data. A multiplier MU1 multiplies background color information and the value outputted from the subtractor SU in each the corresponding position. An adder AD adds a result of the multiplier MU0 and a result of the multiplier MU1 in each the corresponding position, and outputs it as output image data.
