<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which makes a user feel as if it projected an image in a large room, even if it is set in a small room, and to give sufficient satisfaction to the user. <P>SOLUTION: The projector 1 projects a virtual space image V on a wall surface W, together with a display image P, when a virtual space displaying function is executed. The virtual space image includes a display image-projecting area 20 and a depth-displaying area 30 which is seen to constitute a different surface, which is different from a virtual projection surface, when viewed from a user side. The depth-displaying area 30 is displayed as if the ceiling surface, floor surface and both wall surfaces of a room R constituted the same plane, and the display image-projecting area 20 is displayed so that the user may have the illusion that the area 20 is located farther away from him than from the wall surface W of the room R. The display image P is projected on the display image-projecting area 20. The user feels, under his illusion, as if the projector 1 fully exhibits its performance in a room, which is larger than an actually used room, to display the display image P, and consequently the user gains sufficient satisfaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
