摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid influence caused by exhaust gas discharged outside to an outer periphery of an electrolytic electrode assembly; to improve an adhesive property between the electrolytic electrode assembly and a separator; and to enable to secure a desired a current collecting property. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell 20 includes the electrolytic electrode assembly 36 and the separator 38. A protection layer 90 for preventing the separator 38 from being exposed to the exhaust gas is formed on an end face of the separator 38 at a side facing to an anode electrode 34. The protection layer 90 having a mixing layer 92 containing nickel and iron and a chromium-rich layer 94 containing chromium as a principal component perform a role for blocking an outer periphery of the separator 38 from an oxidizing atmosphere, a vapor oxidation atmosphere, and a reducing atmosphere. A space 53 for organizing a fuel gas passage 52 supplying fuel gas to the anode electrode 34 is formed as the separator 38 is partially adhered to the anode electrode 34 via the protection layer 90. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
