<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating apparatus preventing bubbles from being discharged to the outside from a reaction vessel by notifying a user of information in the reaction vessel, and to provide a fuel cell system using the generating apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generating apparatus includes: an apparatus main body 11 having a solution vessel 20 housing a reaction solution 19, a reaction vessel 18 housing a reactant solid 17 that generates hydrogen by a reaction with the reaction solution 19, and a discharge port to discharge hydrogen generated in the reaction vessel 18; a volume detecting means detecting the volume of an accumulated material in the reaction vessel 18, the accumulated material containing a reaction product generated by the reaction between the reaction solution 19 and the reactant solid 17; a notifying means notifying a user of the information based on the detection result of the volume detecting means; and a control means deciding whether the detection result by the volume detecting means is equal to or higher than a preliminarily predetermined first value or not and making the notifying means notify the information corresponding to the decision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
