<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell and a control method thereof, capable of stabilizing power generation by preventing blockage of a gas passage caused by condensed water and product water, and deterioration of a polymer electrolyte membrane caused by by-products such as hydrogen peroxide, other peroxides, and radical kinds. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell laminating cells provided with an electrolyte membrane 10, electrodes 21, 22 formed of a catalyst layer and a diffusion layer and arranged on both sides of the electrolyte membrane 10, and separators 41, 42 having gas passages 31, 32 and arranged outside the respective electrodes 21, 22, ultrasonic transducers 51, 52 for irradiating ultrasonic waves on at least either the electrolyte membrane 10, the catalyst layer, the diffusion layer, or the gas passages 31, 32 are provided in the cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
