DISCHARGE LAMP LIGHTING APPARATUS, ADJUSTMENT METHOD FOR LOADING ELECTRIC POWER OF DISCHARGE LAMP LIGHTING APPARATUS, AND ILLUMINATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharging lamp lighting apparatus which can easily control a constant power even if a lamp current and voltage synchronize and change with a frequency of a commercial power source.

SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting apparatus which is connected with a commercial power source of different frequencies for setting environments is provided with a rectifier circuit 2 for rectifying a commercial power source, a boosting chopper circuit for converting an output voltage of the rectifier circuit 2 into a predetermined direct current voltage, an invertor for converting a voltage from the boosting chopper circuit into an alternate current, a terminal to be connected with a load, and a controlling means 18 for controlling an invertor operation. The controlling means 18 controls so that a frequency of an alternate voltage to be impressed on the load can be a common multiple of each frequency of the commercial power source.
