<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for controlling the electronic device, the electronic device has: a housing; a movable touch screen display restricted by the housing, having a touch sensing input surface covering a display device; a single machine switch disposed between a base of the housing and the rear face of the touch screen display; and an arithmetic component including a processor connected to the touch screen display and the single machine switch, present inside the housing.
