<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game apparatus capable of preventing the theft of tokens or the like without boring a player, and to provide a game control method. <P>SOLUTION: The game apparatus includes a display device and a side display device. Then, a race game in which multiple competition objects compete for the order advances, and images relating to the race game are displayed on the display device. In the meantime, when an instruction to perform a side game different from the race game is inputted while the race game advances or before the next race game starts after the end of one race game, the side game is executed in a station where the instruction is inputted.
