<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, which improves repair of a bright-spot defective pixel, and to provide a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device including a repair step in which the bright-spot defective pixel 26 is irradiated with a laser beam to form a working mark which reduces optical transparency inside includes: a first laser beam irradiation step in which the irradiation position of a laser beam spot S is irradiated with the laser beam by successively moving the irradiation position of a laser beam spot S by an amount of deviation smaller than the radius of an irradiation spot in parallel with one end side of the bright-spot defective pixel; and a second laser beam irradiation step in which the irradiation position of the laser beam spot is irradiated with the laser beam after the laser beam is turned back by deviating the irradiation position of the laser beam spot by an amount of deviation larger than the radius of the irradiation spot after the irradiation position of the irradiation spot of the laser beam reaches the vicinity of the other end side ranging one end side of the bright-spot defective pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
