<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity joint and an image formation device capable of smoothly inserting a cage-retained ball into a circular space between an outer groove and an inner groove of an outer ring. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal point f at an opening side of the inner groove 146 arranged on an outer peripheral surface of an inner boss section 143 of the outer ring 140 of the constant velocity joint is formed to locate at an opening side rather than a terminal point e at an opening end side of the outer groove 145 arranged on an inner peripheral surface of a cup section 141 of the outer ring 140. Thus, the ball 152 is engaged with the outer groove 145 after the ball 152 is engaged with the inner groove 146, and a phase between the ball 152 and the outer groove 145 can be in phase when the ball 152 is engaged with the outer groove 145. Consequently, the ball 152 is not caught by a joint section I between an axial edge of an outer wall tapered section 145a and an edge of the outer groove 145, and the ball 152 can be smoothly inserted into the circular space 144 between the outer groove 145 and the inner groove 146 of the outer ring 140. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
