PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat recovery device for improving recovery efficiency in waste heat of an engine. SOLUTION: This waste heat recovery device 1 has a power recovery machine 19 recovering the waste heat of the engine 2 via steam generated in a water jacket 6 formed inside the engine 2, an opening-closing valve 17 arranged on the upstream side of this power recovering machine 19 and controlling a flow of the steam to the power recovery machine 19, and an ECU 15 electrically connected to the opening-closing valve 17. The ECU 15 cuts off the inflow of the steam to the power recovery machine 19 by closing the opening-closing valve 17 when detecting operation predicted that a throttle valve is closed.
