PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new oven lid structure of a coke oven capable of preventing or extremely reducing deposition of tar on the oven lid. SOLUTION: Flues 62 vertically upwardly passing through the interior of a plug part 60 are formed in the plug part 60 of the oven lid 100 for hermetically closing an oven port 21 of a carbonization chamber 20 of the coke oven 10 and a plurality of through-holes 63 branched from the flues 62 and passing through the plug part 60 to the surface thereof are formed in the flues 62. Thereby, gases produced in the carbonization chamber 20 flow from the through-holes 63 thereof into the plug part 60 so as to reach the upper part of the carbonization chamber 20 through the flues 62 in the plug part 60 thereof. As a result, the volume of the gases flowing to gas canals 70 formed in connecting parts of the plug part 60 to the oven lid body 50 can be reduced to remarkably reduce the amount of the deposited tar on the gas canals 70.
