PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost powdery material for deodorizing antibacterial use satisfactorily exhibiting deodorizing antibacterial effect in various environments and suitable for masks, shoe insoles, bedclothes, underwears, etc. SOLUTION: The powdery material is produced by mixing 9-15 wt.% Ni-based alloy powder having a particle diameter of 5-40μm and containing≥0.001% Co or P to 100 wt.% bamboo charcoal powder having a particle diameter of 3-15μm. The Ni-based alloy powder may be compounded with 0.01-20%, relative to the content of Ni, of other elements exhibiting antibacterial property such as Cu to further increase the antibacterial activity. The powdery material for deodorizing antibacterial use is used in a manner to expose the powdery material to the surface by, for example, attaching the material to the fabric for masks, shoe insoles, bedclothes, underwears, etc., kneading to a resin composition (binder) such as urethane, silicone and rubber and applying the kneaded mixture, or directly kneading in a resin composition constituting the fabric.
