PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a payment action or reject processing by normal precisely judging kinds of banknotes even when the banknotes are not delivered straightly from a storing chamber. SOLUTION: This device comprises a storing chamber 300a storing banknotes, at least two sensors 307 arranged at a banknote delivery port of the storing chamber 300a in a width direction of the banknote, and a control unit for receiving detection signals sent from each of the sensors 307, calculating a passage distance passing each of the sensors from a time interval for receiving the detection signals, calculating a banknote delivery angle from a difference between times when starting to receive the detection signals from both sensors or a difference between times when finishing to receive the detection signals, and calculating a correct banknote length from the delivery angle and the passage distance.
