This invention provides a block polymer, which can be used as a molecular wire into which carriers can easily be injected from an electrode and from which carriers can easily be delivered to another electrode, and a device comprising one molecule of the block polymer that functions as a bridge between a plurality of electrodes. The block polymer comprises a covered insulating block and an electroconductive block. Polyacetylene having a spiral structure constitutes a main chain of the block polymer. The covered insulating block comprises a block having a polyacetylene unit structure comprising an alkyl chain on its side chain through a functional group, the alkyl chain being aligned parallel to a main axis of the main chain. The electroconductive block comprises a block having a polyacetylene unit structure comprising a hydrogen atom on its side chain through a functional group, the hydrogen atom being aligned parallel to a main axis of the main chain. The device comprises the above block polymer and two or more electrodes.
