The meter has a heated sensor element (8) with a surface, and another sensor element (7) for measuring temperature. The power supplied from the surface of the sensor element (8) to past-flowing air is evaluated as measure for past-flowing air mass. The sensor elements comprise a base body (16) made of plastic such as Vectra(RTM: liquid crystal polymer). The base body is provided with a platinum coating (18). Meander-shaped metallization strip conductors extend between two end-sided arranged contact surfaces on the base body.
