The unit has a safety bar (2) connected to a frame (14). An energy store (8) i.e. gas pressure spring, activates a closing device. A charging device is provided for charging the energy store. A blocking device (13) prevents the charging of the energy store, where the blocking device is activatable and deactivatable. Opening of the safety bar is prevented in the activated condition of the blocking device. The blocking device prevents the safety bar from being opened over a part of the distance covered between fully open position and fully closed position of the safety bar. |
